Nell’ambito del programma Erasmus plus 2017, che sostiene lo sviluppo professionale del personale universitario, il Centro di Ateneo per la Disabilità e l’Inclusione ha avuto l’opportunità di partecipare ad un periodo di osservazione e lavoro presso l’Università di Bath, nel sud-ovest del Regno Unito, con l’obiettivo non solo del trasferimento di competenze e apprendimento di buone prassi, ma anche di costruire nuove relazioni fra le università.

Through support of the Erasmus+ programme, available to help staff development , The Centre for Disability and Inclusion visited the University of Bath, to job shadow support officers and participate in training activities on their Claverton Down campus. It’s not only a great way to pick up new ideas and practices from a different higher education system, but it gives them a chance to build a relationship with us.

L’Università di Bath ha celebrato nel 2017 i cinquant’anni dalla sua fondazione, ma pur essendo una giovane università può vantare la quinta posizione nel ranking delle Università del Regno Unito (Guardian University Guide2018).

University of Bath celebrated its 50th Anniversary in the academic year 2016/2017, and is ranked in the top 5 of British universities by the 2018 Guardian University Guide.

A fine settembre arriveranno al Campus più di 17000 studenti, di cui circa il 30 % provenienti da tutto il mondo, i preparativi per l’organizzazione della settimana di benvenuto sono in pieno svolgimento, ma i colleghi inglesi si sono dimostrati molto gentili e disponibili a condividere progetti e discussioni con riguardo all’ implementazione dei servizi per gli studenti ed il personale con disabilità, in termini di pari opportunità ma anche di rispetto e valorizzazione delle diversità.

University of Bath has more than 17,000 students, about 30% of which are international students, studying at the university from September 2017. Although people were very busy organising welcome weeks, British colleagues were delighted to share their projects and talk about equality and diversity policies for students and staff.
